Well I did it (pre beer of course).
Running new drivers (need to install these before attempting to flash the firmware BTW) and new firmware.
On a Vista Home Premium partition on a laptop running Sonar PE 7.0.2.........no squeals, pauses in audio, white noise, Ultralite meter nonsense. latency down to 1.3ms. Not attempted anything my XP (production) partition, that doesn't change lightly.
No probs in MSMP either!
So far so good, and boy do those .mp3 sound good blasting out!!!
Beer time now I think.
