Hey all -
I bought an 8pre to go along with my ultralite. I've tried both daisy chain and non-daisy chain configurations (i.e. plugged directly into the computer), and whichever piece of hardware I set as the clock source, the other one jumps in and out of a "working" state. When I try to record audio from the ultralite and the 8pre, the one that is not the clock source will have choppy audio, and portions of the track will suddenly drop out and come back in at random.
I also see random interface changes. For example, when the 8pre is the clock source, the ultralite will show random "audio bars", and "meter 44" will change to 48, back to 44, then flicker.
When the ultralite is the clock source, the 8pre will randomly blink the "44.1" light, as it does when it's starting up.
For some reason, these clock sources can't stay in harmony. Any suggestions?
Rig: Vista64 Ultimate, latest motu drivers (3.6.8.1133), 4gb ram, newer processor. Both ultralite and 8pre firmware are on 1.0
PLEASE HELP!

Different OS, same problems
OK, I've changed to Vista 32bit, but I still have the SAME PROBLEMS!!!
Those damn clocks will not work with each other no matter what I try.
Any solutions? (Other than "Don't use Vista")
