Not trying to be a downer here, just sending up a small flag.
I have a Dual Quad 3.0Ghz machine and so far Liquid Mix and Powercore have had problems, and the UAD-1e is not recommended for the 8 core machines either.
TC fixed my Powercore (99% sure) and I get that card back today, but as far as hardware processing, beware.
The machine is fantastic besides that.

It will with the wrapper but you won't be able to open up old projects. Plus, it and Trilogy are a tad flaky and tend to crash DP. I try to freeze them soon as possible and then disable them.tonyvose wrote:Hello -- Spectrasonics Atmosphere will not function with the INtel Mac using DP. FWIW.

Great machine though. I've been very happy with my 2.8.

I don't have any of the plugs mentioned that don't work except UAD1 and it seems ok now after a few bouts.
I think you should know that this machine is totally allergic to carbon code of any kind though.
Good Luck

i know, this is what's made me delay moving from my dual 2.5 for a couple of years now. well, can't wait anymore. omnisphere's out in september, anyway, so I've put a 3.0 and am going to use it a slave with Vienna on it, and keep my 2.5 running DP with the spectrasonics stuff. It will with the wrapper but you won't be able to open up old projects. Well, that is a drag! Fortunately, i don't use any of those products. I look forward to the speed boost! Not that my old 2.5 is sluggish... : )
