Opening DP without Waves Plugins

Post by wvmusic »

I'm trying to open DP without getting the Authorization windows for various plugins that I'm not currently using. What files do I need to remove and where are they located?

Thanks

In the plugin Folder

Hello,

try /System/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/

There you find the folder "MAS" there should be some "Waveshell.bundle" or similar (dont have waves here on this machine).
Just move it to another folder and restart DP.

FYI if you happen to have AudioFinder, there's a cool little utility in one of the menus that lets you enable/disable plugs quicker and easier than going into the folder and doing it manually

iMac Intel 2.33, 3 g / DP 5.13 / 10.4.11 / MOTU 828 / MidiExpress XT / Waves 5.9.7 beta / NI / StylusRMX / Minimonsta / RealGuitar-RealStrat / Altiverb 6 / Amplitube 2 / Ozone / PlugsoundPro

In theory, theory works in practice, but in practice, it doesn't

Second vote for AudioFinder plugin manager.
It shows both root and user plugs in the same window.
One window for each plug-type.
Great !

Also you can try Audio Unit Manager. It's a simple app, but I use whenever I have to toggle between DAW's and Final Cut:
