"Invisible" MasterWorkd EQ !?

Post by spitfire31 »

Hello,

Running DP 5.12 on 10.4.11, I just noticed that the MW EQ is missing from my Mixer insert list. The MW Compressor, Gate and Limiter are all there, and the MW EQ is where its should be in the /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/MAS directory.

By coincidence, I noticed on top of the plug-in list, a "(stereo)" plug-in, which I could instantiate and it turned out to be the missing MW EQ!

However, no 'block' with its name shows up in the relevant insert slot. But I can double-click the (visually) empty slot, and up comes the MW EQ GUI, and it affects the audio.

???

Incidentally, in the Audio/Audio plug-ins menu, there's an empty space on top which – you guessed it – invokes the MW EQ!

Any idea what's going on and, more important, any smart hint on how to persuade the 'invisible' plug-in to adopt its given name?

Best,

Joey

Hello!
Used to experience the same plus my ParaEQ disappeared. Problem solved when I switched OSX default language from Swedish (!) to English.

Man kan också intallera om allt från 5.1 i kronologisk ordning om man vill slippa byta språk på macen.

Just a follow-up: I did change my Swedish system language to English, restarted and there it was again, my MW EQ.

So, thanks again to my advisors!

I wonder why the othe MW plugs don't seem to care about System language?

Hopefully, this lame glitch is fixed in DP6.
