Graphics problems on PC

Graphics problems on PC
I just got MachFive 2, and while it's functioning perfectly I'm having graphics anomolies/glitches in both of my hosts (Reaper, Live 7) as well as in standalone mode.
Basically if the interface goes off screen or if I move it too suddenly it blurs the GUI; closing and re-opening resets it. Also in Live it makes the mousepointer a bit erratic, but again everything functions perfectly both with M5 and the hosts themselves.
I have installed the M5 update 2.02 as well as the most current NVIDIA driver, but to no avail. I'm running a Core2Duo PC with XP and a GeForce video card. Sure seems like M5 doesn't like the video card...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am loving it otherwise! TIA

There are probably people that knows this, but to help them out..jamester wrote:I just got MachFive 2, and while it's functioning perfectly I'm having graphics anomolies/glitches in both of my hosts (Reaper, Live 7) as well as in standalone mode.

Known problems.
I'd reported to the mouse problem to Ableton during the Live 5 beta, but they didn't have MachV and had no interest in sorting it out with Motu, due, I guess, to small user base.
I get the video problem as well. Motu claim it's a video card problem (possibly true), but I reckon it's a coding choice problem as no other VST has the same issue.
Both problems, however, are minor glitches, and, trust me, M5 ver2 is far more stable on a PC than ver1.

Thanks for the responses and info.
I have submitted this to MOTU as well, hopefully I'll get a response. Since everything else seems fine I guess this isn't so bad to live with, but it is a bit disapointing. None of my other instruments have this problem!
So far my only functional complaint is why they didn't include a Solo button along with the Mute in the Part list. They easily could've cut the Mute button in half and made a Solo as well, instead of having to go into the mixer for one but not the other. Puzzling.

GeForce 7100 GS
can't seem to find info on my DX?
Just wanted to give an update:
I discovered that certain functions reset the interface, so I don't have to close and re-open all the time. This makes the bug a lot easier to live with! Basically anything that changes the Display Area, like the Tuner, Analyzer, or showing the Mixer.
I'm still not sure about the couple crashes I've had in Reaper, but as long as it proves to be stable I can live with this graphics issue, because I'm really loving Mach Five!
Would be nice to hear back from MOTU officially about this though; it's been almost five days and my Tech Note still reads "Unread".

it`s an APPLICATION DATA problem that MOTU needs to fix it`s not anybodyelses fault i had a ATI sapphire 3450 and MACHFIVE does not work with that card after months waiting on techlinks i got a NVIDIA EN8500GT and it works now. At first i had the RADEON 9600 and was told my COMPUTER wasn`t powerful enough and that my graphics card was to old. So i Decided to upgrade and build a DAW comp that was powerful enough and keep my old comp(DELL OPTIPLEX GX240) for surfing and downloading. so i built this one ANTEC SONATA DESIGNER 500 case, ASUS P5K-E motherboard, INTEL 2 QUAD CORE Q6600 2.4GHz processor,4Gb A-DATA DDR2 800MHz ram, ATI SAPPHIRE HD 3450 graphics card, 2x 500Gb sata harddrives & 1x 320Gb iede hardrive, 1x LG MULTI with LIGHTSCRIBE and a new copy of XP HOME 32bit so i get it all put together install windows go through my list of TWEAKS and install Machfive2 and it doesn`t work same problem as with the old comp they told me wasn`t powerful enough so i phone tech support and he says roll back the drivers but i can`t because i bought a brand new card that only supports new driversso anyway i have the NVIDIA card now and it works but it doesn`t recognize my EDIROL UA-4fx as my soundcard so i can`t get it ASIO configured and the latency is very high i know the progam is wicked i just wish it didn`t have so many problems.
ANTEC SONATA D-500,ASUS P5K-E,INTEL 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHz,4Gb A-DATA DDR2 800MHz RAM,ASUS NVIDIA EN8500GT,2x500GBsata & 1x320Gbide HD,LG MULTI LIGHTSCRIBE,EDIROL UA-4fx,PCR-300&RD-300sx,LOGITECH USB Z-10`s,SONAR7PE,MOR&VOP,M52,VG2,PSHG,AD&RETRO,DRUMCORE2.5,BEATCRAFT,CSI,KORE My Soundclick Page
Thanks for that Alkie.alkie wrote:it`s an APPLICATION DATA problem that MOTU needs to fix...i got a NVIDIA EN8500GT and it works now....but it doesn`t recognize my EDIROL UA-4fx as my soundcard so i can`t get it ASIO configured and the latency is very high i know the progam is wicked i just wish it didn`t have so many problems.
I finally heard from tech support, and as expected he basically just said to make sure I had the most current drivers for the card (which I'd already made sure of). So are you saying that the NVIDIA EN8500GT doesn't have the graphics smearing problem? That's interesting, something to look into...
Also, are you saying that the NVIDIA card isn't recognizing your ASIO driver or Mach Five? (I'm assuming Mach Five, since I don't know why your graphics card would need to recognize an ASIO driver.) I'll just mention that I have an Edirol soundcard also (UA-1000) and it works perfectly with Mach Five.

yes the EN8500GT works great with Machfive no smearing. your lucky you just have a smearing problem i couldn`t even open machfive with the first 2 cards i had it would just crash. also Machfive doesn`t recognize my Edirol UA-4fx ASIO DRIVERS but all my other programs do so i don`t have a clue.
