Monitor Issues••¦??

Microphone into Micro #1

Analog output # 1 feeds an external device
••¦..The device is working with the feed from (Output) Analog #1

The device has a monitor and the monitor is feed into (IN) Analog #1 I can see the LED action on the 828 front panel although the gain is ½ of the gain of the LED indicator for Micro 1.

Now my question••¦how do I monitor the signal on Analog IN #1 ••¦and shut off the monitor on the mike••¦. I want to monitor the action of the device as it affects the mike in channel 1..
