Hello everybody!
My name is Emanuele and I am writing from near Venice, Italy!
Today is my first post.
First of all I'd like to thank you as this forum has been very VERY helpful in clearing up my mind for my first motu purchase.
At the end I opted for a Traveler, as I have purchased a few months ago a Sintefex CX2000 (a processor by a spanish company which owns the patent for Liquid Mix's convultion technology). This high-end outboard only has AES connectors. I have obviously considered this when making up my mind between Traveler and MkII.
I haven't tried EVERY possibility, I must admit that, but I'd like to have your opinion on how to figure this routing out, as it's turning out a bit more tricky than I expected.
Basically I'd like to be able to either:
1) Process any file / track FROM the computer with this outboard unit and then route it back to the mixer (to hear what's going on) or play it out using an analog output, as I do not have a digital desk, or route it back digitally onto a new track in the computer. I am already having problems with this. I can't really figure out how to route the signall BACK from the AES
2)Route let's say input 1 to the AES (is it kind of automatic once I turn up the volume on the cuemix software??!), processing it (possibly hearing only wet signal) and routing the AES out of Sintefex to either a traveler line out OR a computer track....
I am quite lost myself, I guess I just have to get familiar with setting-it up
but I kinf of thought it would have been very easy to route the AES signal in any way I wanted....
Does any of you helpful people run your traveler with ANY type of digital efx (reverb or whatever) and if so, what are your 2 cents to do this easily?
I know, I know, it's quite a silly question but please let me know if you've got a similar set-up.
I really look forward to hear from you and THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Cheers everybody,
Emanuele
