DP error on new intel Mac...can't record audio
Ok, so I finally got my audio interface (apogee ensemble) this past week after upgrading to a new 8 core mac pro.
I installed DP a few weeks ago, and it plays songs through my cpu speakers ok. I installed some plugins...altiverb, camelcrusher, izotope vinyl (all UB versions) and I attempted to install my PSP total pack plugins...I've had some trouble getting them authorized because I previously purchased these a long time ago when they weren't UB.
Since those installs, when I try to record an audio track...the track will appear as the wiper moves, but immediately after I stop recording an error pops up which says:
Digital Performer has encountered an error.
MacOS error:
Resource was not found (-192).
So I removed the PSP plugins that I was having issues with (I think) by deleting them out of my user/library folder and restarted the computer again...same issue. Restarted again...same result...
Please help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
PS. ITunes plays ok through the ensemble and audio seems to be getting through ok also.
Thanks in advance

Let us know how it turns out? Are you on Leopard though? Your sig says you're still on Tiger, but if you're using Leopard you definitely need 5.13.

I have the exact same problem.
And same hardware as hollywood, 8 core mac 2.8 -Apogee Ensemble - DP 5.12
I can import files and they play back ok.....but when I try to record audio then just like he described, the track will appear as the wiper moves, but immediately after I stop recording I get this error message:
Digital Performer has encountered an error.
MacOS error:
Resource was not found (-192).
Well then I also have to update to 5.13 I guess

No guess. Only DP 5.13 is Leopard ready. 5.12 is not. 5.11 (if I recall) will work with Leopard, but since 5.13 is specifically for Leopard, then it's a no brainer.notrono wrote:

The manual is your friend! Have fun. Ask away. You'll find a few here speak more than one language as well.notrono wrote:Thoug I have read this board for a while, I‘m new to DP.
BTW, you might want to add you system info (OS, DP version, plug ins, RAM, etc) to you signature and your locale (country) to your profile.
