Crazy Gain Boost On Samples??!?!?!?

okay so..... what i'm doing is tossing in clips from DP into seperate instruments set to the same MIDI channel. That way... each key on my MIDI keyboard is a diff sample with diff effect and pan settings.

Now... I dunno why it keeps happening but... for reason when I go to play the samples with the keyboard sometimes it will play a sample back 50X as loud as I mixed it to where... It almost blew me out of a chair. Seems if i save and restart the program.. it's fine but... what the heck?

yesterday it was happening all day long. it seems to be a MaxhFive 2 thing for me

That's what I have too!!!! Mach Five 2 inside DP.

••••.. what also happens is that only that sample can be played untill I reopen DP and reload mach v. Dern..anybody else solve this problem?

i have been using DP 5.01 for a long time on a dual 1.42 G4 OS10.3.9
machFive 2.0

then i upgraded about a month ago to an intel quad 2.66 OS10.4.7 DP 5.13 machFive 2.0

i had been having the volume anomolies on the old system but i am finding rather strange behaviour out of the new system. lots more of the volume spikes and other weird volume and keyswitching funkiness....

i'll try and write some of the problems with a little ore accuracy.
