Advancing 1 Frame at a time

Post by kid »

What is the keyboard command to advance through the sequence a frame foward and back? I am trying to mix a small video piece. Also the OMF given and DV picture is 23.98. Is this achievable?

Slow wind forward and backward are 5 and 6 on the number pad. DP doesn't support 23.98 fps.

You can click and drag on the frame number in the Counter or Control Panel windows.

According to NAMM reports, DP 6 will support it.

Hit shift V - put's vid window as active window - hit left and righ arrows... you can then add marker when found frame -

the fast forward is annoying as it "analyises" movie - not responsive

you can also hit apple numeric pad fullstop to move insertion point to frame ( good for a pasting eh?)

i use quickeys routed to a an xkeys keyboard. while you could easily do it your regular keyboard, if saving time is a concern, this kind of a setup is worth the time and relatively small expense to set it up.
