intel Core 2 duo quad incompatibility with 324 card?

i thought it worth starting a thread on this. with a proper title.

has anyone found any problems?

i just fitted a computer together

q6600
asus P5K premium
dominator 8500 memory.
XP 32bit

xp didn't even see the card , no wizard , nothing in device manager.
all my other machines can see this card.

one machine has a pentium D 3.2 x2 and the others are 428 and 423 socket. all can install the motu 324.

so i know this card works and the new motherboard P5K can see other cards so both the pci card and socket work...its just they dont seem to work together.

anyone heard of this?
