Reaktor/DP issues

Post by JZilla »

Hi there. I've got the Komplete 4 bundle, and after months of using most of the plugins, I finally decided to dive into Reaktor. However, when I open DP, it's not showing up in the instrument list.

I checked to make sure that the component file is present, and it is, so I tried tossing the Audio Unit Info Cache to rescan the AUs, and it's not being scanned. I tried reinstalling Reaktor, and had the same result. It works fine in standalone mode, but it'd be cool to get it going as a plug.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi

Have you tried to run and configure Reaktor as a stand alone first?

Repair Permissions with the Disk Utility.
Disk Utility is inside the Utilities folder.

Not to be flip, but are you looking under Native Instruments alphabetically in the plug/instrument list?

Reaktor's in a sub-folder for me, along with all the other NI stuff.

Hey, thanks for the replies. I have had it working fine as a stand alone, and everything seems to be set up right. I tried the Repair Permissions thing, no change.

And yeah, I doublechecked, it's not in the main instruments list or the NI sub-folder.

Thanks.

What version of Reaktor are you using?

What Mac are you on?

What version of DP?

I've been running Reaktor in DP without problems for years, so it's something in your setup, we just have to figure out what...

I'm using Reaktor 5.1.1 with DP 5.12 on a Mac Pro Quad 2.66 GHz with 10.4.10.

Look in the Components file of Plugs-in if that of Reaktor appears
there: that corresponds to Plug-in in Audio Unit version . Perhaps you installed only the version Stand Alone or VST and not the Audio Unit.

Here also, especially no problem with Reaktor in D.P. as Plug-in or
in FX (very interesting) _

The component file is where it's supposed to be, and I definitely installed the AU version. I've since uninstalled and reinstalled Reaktor, and have had no change in results, Reaktor isn't being scanned at startup, and isn't available as an instrument.

Try removing the Audio Unit Info Cache from DP's prefs (/user/library/preferences/Digital Performer). That'll force DP to rescan.

As mentioned earlier, I've already tried that.

I've heard of this happening with Reaktor and it sounds to me like a Reaktor preferences issue. I would try deleting any preference files related to Reaktor itself (not the AU info cache) in both your User and System Libraries. You will probably have to reauthorize once you do this.

Perhaps the presence of file relating to Reaktor-démo(j' improvise).

If not await Leopard, sorry.

And what tells the Application Service Center de Native? Is Reaktor
well authorized in AudioUnit and not only in Standalone?
