Motu Digital Timepiece with a DA-88

Post by zoink »

How do you control transport (either one slave or master) of DA-88 to you favorite audio/MIDI software through MOTU DTP?

I got logic 7 express and Live ableton.
i got the remote rc848 cables and got MIDI out of mac into the DTP MIDI in/out.

I read numerous places that you can control (and/or get controlled?) the DA-88 with a Digital Timepiece without having the da-88 sync card. But how do i do that? where do i begin?

I don't have the manual and have a real hard time to find one.

need help

I've got my own issues with em - i've been making a lot of DA88 tapes recently and getting all sorts of wierdness...

will work fine for an hour or so then they'll be a pop and after that just channel 8 will exhibit digital pops every second or so..

I have an advarrk clock - and it's feeding both machines...

using sample accurate and forced to use the PCI:smote clock in order to get chase thru moto PCI spmte set up - da88 tc out to motu analog in...

any ideas?

cheers
