Vista x64 Traveler issue - no sound output!
This is absolutely bizarre. Working in any program with the MOTU Asio driver EVERYTHING seems normal if you were just looking at the program. The thing is, the traveler itself outputs no sound! Doing a real time export within Cubase works fine, doing a normal export works fine, but it won't play any audio directly out of the Traveler. Similar issues crop up if I try to use the traveler as my audio interface for normal usage - audio is very choppy when it plays, if it plays at all. Any thoughts on this?
Yea seriously, hah. It's better than XP x64 though. Compatibility with stuff there is just a joke. It's also better than having 8 gigs of RAM in my machine and only being able to see and use 3.2 GB of that... Hence the Vista x64.jrdmcdnld wrote:Viva la Vista!
*shrug* I'll just continue recording on my MBP I suppose, it works fine there.
Re: Vista x64 Traveler issue - no sound output!
Hello. I recently made the move to Vista x64 on my laptop and encountered the same issue with my first generation Traveler. I know it's been a while, but were you (or anyone reading this post) ever able to resolve this?

same issues here with first gen Ultralite.
Re: Vista x64 Traveler issue - no sound output!
I was able to get my mk1 traveler working w/ Vista x64 by installing the latest Vista x64 drivers (3.6.8.1414). With Sonar 8 x64,it's pretty stable, so far (knock on wood).
Using ASIO driver mode (this is my first time using ASIO) however, brings up another issue in Sonar...I noticed that the bit depth in my audio options was displaying 24, but the field was greyed out, and I seem to be able to record in 16 bit only. Is this a known issue, or am i missing something here?

Re: Vista x64 Traveler issue - no sound output!
Never mind my ASIO issue...it was a matter of changing the file bit depths in the global audio option menu (duh.). Things now work smashingly.
