Mach Five 2 not seen in Pro Tools 6.9.2,,,,

I'm running :

mac G4/800MGHZ/1.5 GB SDRAM••¦••¦ OS 10.3.9••¦..PT LE 6.4••¦••¦..MBox

I CAN RUN MACHFIVE 2 AS STAND ALONE BUT DOESN••™T SHOW UP AS A PLUGIN IN PROTOOLS. WHAT GIVES? ANY IDEAS?

THE FILES ARE IN MY DIGI PLUGINS FOLDER

Which is it, 6.4 or 6.9.2? Either way, I don't know why it wouldn't show up, other than the whole RTAS architecture changed from 6.x to 7.x.

Motu don't give a specification for which version of Pro Tools M5v2 works with - they just say "Pro Tools" and RTAS.

The big change to RTAS for PT7 allowed plug-ins to be more processor efficient, and all plug-ins had to be updated to take advantage of the change.

I'm fairly sure all the Pro Tools reports on this forum have been from 7.1 onward - so I'd guess that was the issue - the same way you can't use Digi's Xpand! plug-in.
