now that i've cleaned up my DP folder....

any good softare for cleaning up the rest of my OS? (getting rid of duplicate files, logs, stuff i dont need, etc. to make sure my mac is running as clean as it can)

Perhaps a clean install starting with OSX? Build the system it on a separate drive or partition so you can keep using your current system until the new one is fully-functional. And once it is, CLONE IT or make a disc image immediately and store the copy in a safe place, so you can return to it in the future if and when all hell breaks lose.
