Hi guys,
I would really appreciate your help in understanding why logic would recognize input 1 and 2 in the front of my motu, the ones with the trim, but not recognize if I plug an instrument in the back of it, yet I see it on the cue mix and on the 828 display and it plays through my speakers. What can I do? I"m using an intel mac, logic 7.1, and an 828 MK 2.
Thank you,
Z
Logic doesnt recoginze inputs in the back of my 828 MK2 why?

try this
Make sure you activate your I/O's in Logic. Usually 1 & 2 mono as well as 1 & 2 stereo are active by default but the rest of them need to be activated. Also, the default I/O settings in Logic don't correspond numerically with the 828. 1 and 2 on the front match 1 & 2 in Logic but on the back, 1 = 3, 2 = 4, 3 = 5, and so on in Logic. Hope that helps.
