Yamaha MOTIF Patch Names

Post by artmusicsouth »

I am not getting my Motif patch names to show up in the window. I have the yamaha.middev folder in the MIDI Devices folder. DO I need to load this somewhere else, too.

Thanks.

Hi

You may find your Motif Patch names from Expansion Board Setup.
Expansion Board Setup is in DP Extras folder.

If you don't find those Patch names. You can try CherryPicker.
Download it here:

I downloaded Cherry picker but when I opened it, it did show me the Motif but nothing else. The window on the right I assume is supposed to have some files show up but nothing was there.

DP Version? The Motif presets are included in v5 on. Doubt they are in 4x.

4.6.1. They were there when I first installed DP but now they have vanished. I do not use it that often though i am starting to more and more.

I had to download the motif .midnam file from yamaha's website in order for DP 4.6.1 to recognize it.
