Hi,
I'm a brand new DP user on my G5 1,6GHz Mac with Motu828MKII.
I imported soundbites for my first song to mix, it's a 40 track live recording.
If I mute half of the tracks and listen to the band only, I still face gaps in the playback (apparently from CPU overload).
No effects, only playback...
Do you have any idea how I can solve this?
I made the buffer size to 1024 (larger not possible), the number to 4...
The tracks are on a firewire disk, using Firewire800.
Thanks for any help!
Marcel

Re: Audio gaps in playback
Its possibly there is a Voice allocation proplem.
check to see how many Voices you have asigned to your project,
It might be below 40, which is the # of track you have running.
Just increase the # of Voices a see if it still happens.
Look under SETUP / CONFIGURE AUDIO SYSTEM.
I assume you're running DP4.5
Good Luck
