man, i just received a login code for the forum to search on the word 'ultralite' in the hardware and windows section.
(i was planning to buy one instead of presonus firebox for my laptop centrino 1.6).
and all that comes up after the search is problems here and problems there.
on the one hand i dont want to believe it because the UL has so many nice features*, but on the other hand...it seems that i have to face the facts and the postings...
*the main reason i liked the ultralite is that it states that the MIDI will work 'sample accurate' with softsynths. My midicontroller has no USB so I want to buy a Firewire device with MIDI ports.
ARE the chances that it will not work easy quite high ? my laptop:
-SP2 installed (i dont want to go back to SP1), centrino 1.6 Ghz, 512mb, TI firewire, 5400 rpm. (upgrading HDD and RAM ASAC (as soon as cash)
-will the mixer work?
or am i somewhere missing a point? does somebody has any successtories? thanks for sharing your thoughts & experiences about this,
