Tranzport?

Post by dquave »

All of my recording is done in the same room as my monitoring. I intend to purchase the tranzport remote recording device to make life simpler in this situation. I am using DP4, 2408mk3 with cuemix and no external mixer is involved.

My question is how to record my piano with the output muted through the monitors during recording. (I usually do this by muting output in cuemix and unmuting on playback.) After recording the take, be able to listen to playback through the monitors without having to get up an unmute the output in the cuemix software?
Sorry if this is elementary. But this is a problem I have even without using the tranzport. Is there an easier way do all this muting and unmuting through DP4 and not have to deal with cue mix?
Thank You

Not sure if I totally understand, but it sounds like a simple solution. Just un-play enable the track you are recording.

In the Input Monitor window ( shift-A) switch Audio Patch Thru off with the headphone icon. A key command can be created for that in the Commands (Shift-L) window.
The track can be left in play mode (un-muted).
