Power probs w/ Toshiba Laptop - Recording w/ Traveler

Hello

Does anyone have a Toshiba Satellite? I use it with my Traveler and am trying to work out a bug. The Satellite wants to power down the monitor after a few minutes if noone is touching the mouse or keyboard. That presents a problem when I am recording myself playing the guitar. It adds a big "BZZZZT" to the recording when this happens.

I went into the Power control panels (There is a Windows one, and a Toshiba one that overrides it) and set everything to stay on all the time whether using battery or AC power, but for some reason it still isnt working. Not sure what else to try.

Any advice is welcome...
