828 not seen by apple audio MIDI setup. OS 10.2.8 HELP!

828 not seen by apple audio MIDI setup. OS 10.2.8 HELP!

I've checked cables, installed various drivers, different powerup sequences, nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated. It seems to power up nomally, then the clock led sticks at 48 and the digital light pipe is on. I've used this same setup for years with no problem. I rum OS 10.2.8 on a G4 laptop with DP 4.1. PLEASE HELP!!!
