MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT (Parallel) Output on CH8 only

Hello there, first time post by a MOTU newbie.

I have just purchased a MOTU MIDI Express XT (Parallel port) on ebay, and I am having a bit of trouble. I have setup the unit with no problems using the clockworks software, but I cannot get the MIDI outputs 1-7 to work.

I am using Cubase SX 3 and all the inputs are fine, but the only output channel that works is Channel 8 (front and bakc ports)

The MIDI info lights(green) flash when there is MIDI data on all output ports 1-8.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, as apart from this little set back ! the box does EXACTLY what it is meant to, and I am otherwise happy with it.

Your post was published on 2006, and nobody respond it, isnt́ it?.
Last week I bought a vintage motu parallel similar to yours for the studio. Also ,I'm a computer engineer and Iḿ very familiarized with this type of devices. After a few hours of setup, the motu runs ok in windows with cubase and clockworks software, but no one MIDI out send any data thru MIDI cables. Lights on front panel for out MIDI flashing ok but no code is transmitted. the problem is very similar to what you write in your post and I would like to know if it was solved or not.

On the other hand, a guy from this forum had a similar problem and the cause was locate on the front windows-mac switch. I ĺl test this tomorrow.
