I'm not sure what the problem is.... when i load 4 or 5 instances of M5 in logic 7.2, 16 channels each, logic crashes.
i know my computer can handle way more than this.
(G4 1.25 ghz, 2 gig ram) Before switching to logic, i ran cubase vst 5.1 / OS9 with halion. I was easily able to load
8 instances of halion, 16 chnls each.
in fact, one of the main reasons i decided to switch to logic was so i'd be able to load more sampler instances. (aside from the fact that SX sux.)
As with everyone else, i'm patiently waiting for M5 II, hoping it'll cure what ails me. i'm also going to buy a mac pro soon. But at the same time, i'm strongly considering switching to Kontakt.
The problem is that i've spent sooooo much time programming the M5. Does anyone know if i'd simply be able to load the M5 programs into Kontakt?
if not Kontakt, are there any other soft samplers that could do it?
do all machfive programs and samples transfer to Kontakt?
