I am completely new to DP and am wading through the 1K page manual and my MacAudioLab video tutorials (excellent!).
Anyway, I am unable to preview soundbites before importing. From page 107 in them manual, I should just make sure the audition button is clicked (yellow) and that should do it. Not!
I am unable to preview any sounds (AIFF, WAV, SDII). The sounds are at the same sample rate as my project 44.1 x 16bit.
I am able to play DP projects just fine.
My main outs are selected in the audio bundles window (SHFT+U).
Your kindness is appreciated for any help you can provide!

Check your system OUTPUTS and volumes. Sometimes when I lauch DP, it mutes the system volume. That has usually been the case when I cannot audition files. Similay, when I would click on a file in the Sound Bite window, it would not audition automatically. Again, it was always that DP muted the system output.
