Only time will tell....FWIW the G5 PPC Macs supported 64 bit architecture and MOTU didn't flinch in the direction of having DP support 64 bit processing, so who knows......but OTOH, their PCI interface cards do support 64 bit, so maybe......yaboss wrote:What could we have more efficient in DP 5.x with the new Mac pro and the new Os ??

As has been discussed much here lately, I fear a true increase in performance with DP will be dependent not on 64 bit processing, OSX Leopard, or a faster machine, but with the gutting of MAS and a rewrite of DP within a total Core Audio framework. I would love to see that in DP 5.5, or even DP 6.0......
