Non UB plugins in a UB workstation

Post by dix »

Will non ub plugins and VIs work in a ub DAW running on an Intel Mac? Do we have to wait until ALL our plugins are ub before it makes sense to get a new Mac?

No you will have to wait. If you want a non UB plug to run in any app under rosetta, both the host app and the plug needs to be non UB.

Thanks. Could be a very long wait. I just saw UA plugins will not be UB until 4th quarter (so spring 07).
