Best way to?

Post by Pappy725 »

I'm trying to record the voicemail message of a friend's cellphone. I've recorded it with my phone on speakerphone with an AT2020. Is there a way to get a line out of the headphone jack on my phone? A 1/8 mini plug doesn't fit.
Any ideas are welcome.

you'd have to get whatever kind of adapter it'd take to do something like that...probably take a look on the manufacturer's website.
another option, if you have access to a polycom teleconference phone, is to use the line out on that (it's an rca plug on the wallwart). it works well. i've done recordings of "whatever message is at this phone number" for seminars that way.
either that or go by ratshack, and pick up one of those telephone mic thingies...
