Hi, I have two devices with SPDIF outputs (mono). Let's call it SPDIF 1 and SPDIF2
My sound card has only ONE spdif input.
Is there any solution to merge the TWO spdif (stereo) channels into ONE spdif (stereo) channel with LEFT from SPDIF 1 and RIGHT from SPDIF2?
thanks

I believe there are two solutions on the marketplace, but I forget the second one. The first one is an odd "digital patchbay" from Roland/Edirol (I forget which name they marketed it under) which is probably now out of production but still available as a new item from a few on-line vendors.
Got to Sound-On-Sound's webpage and search for "digital patchbay" or some such terms and it will show up. My notes are at home but I think it was the DM1000 (for "digital mixer 1000"). It got excellent reviews but was critiquesd for having an exposed mains.
I have occasionally been interested in this device but keep getting scared by the sloppy mains isolation and the consequences of an accident.
