It's 2 years old.
Purchased in New York, now in Amsterdam the netherlands.
I've talked to Motu support. They have no suggestions but to take it in.
It works fine if i reset on each power up and reload my cuemix settings.
I'm not going to get it fixed by them because its probably not worth the money in shipping and labour.
Does anyone know how the Motu saves its configuration? Is it flash memory or battery supported?
828MK2 needs factory reset on each power up.

I think I would head down to one of the coffee shops for a bit .... you know, to get the brain thinking clearly.
Then I would open up the MOTU and see if there is any type of CMOS battery.
Other than that .... I haven't a clue. Sure sounds like some form of memory loss/failure by not retaining settings during power cycles.
Good luck with it. Let us know if you work it out.

Mine has become totally useless. Factor reset doesn't even work. Won't fully initialize even in standalone. Every so often on a freak it works. I've tried it all. I've seen this complaint/problem so much I have to say this piece of a equipment highway robbery.cult66 wrote:hehehe..i gave the erbs up a few years ago..Never say never, but a 15 year stint deserves some time off.
Yeah, i guess its time to open it up. Been a bit reluctant because i just reorganised and got everything screwed down and patched up in a kind of logical way.
thanks.
