MachFive II tutorial DVD

Post by MR G »

I posted this suggestion May 2005 just before the release date of MachFive II

Will MOTU or Cool School Interactus [who make one for DP4] be making a DVD/CD-ROM video training of the new MachFive ver.2.
I've have brought two DVD's which are tutorials for my sequencer [the best £40 I've spent on Music Production]and it's amazing the small things that can be missed by just reading a manual.
Something printed on a piece of paper can mean very little if the words don't mean anything to the reader.
I've had my MachFive for some time now and I would say that my use is still very basic due to not understanding the terminology and wording of the manual.Understanding how presets would be affected differently by a different sound/voice these things are by there very nature difficult to be put into the written word.

It will be a crime if a tutorial were not made
.

As no DVD tutorial has been made available for ver. 1 and the length of time of the ver. 2 release date has been drawn out for over 365 days , I'd like to re-suggest a tutorial.
If I brought another sampler from a well known German software company I would have their upgrade plus their tutorial.

If a 3rd party wants to create a DVD for instruction, great. I wouldn't want MOTU to do it as they would pass the production costs to M5 users. M5 is pretty damn intuitive for me and only the import function is little obtuse. Maybe M5 II will be harder to figure out, but I doubt it.

For a second there, I got excited...

I have the Mach5 II tutorial DVD. I keep it in the same box as my Mach5 II install disk....
