MIDI playback delayed?
I haven't been using my XV3080 recently, mostly just VI's, until last week. Everytime I go to play back the song it takes a second for the MIDI to trigger playback and "catch up", and when doing so there's a stutter where there's kind of a chaos thing happening and then it plays back fine. Just kind of annoying. I have the latest drivers installed. Is there a MIDI pref I can delete somewhere that might clear this up? Don't remember this ever doing this before.

Do you mean as a sequence is looping?
I have an issue that shows up every once and a while where the first few ticks of any note at the beginning of a MIDI loop will get cut off. No big deal on a kick drum (reminds me where the loop begins) but if it is a note that goes for many bars, it is just cut out all together.
I haven't found the exact answer, but I have trashed my prefs with some luck...

It doesn't have to be looping but that sounds like the problem. I don't remember it ever doing that before but I haven't used much external MIDI other than a piano sound from my S80. Don't think there's a delay with that.chrispnyc wrote:Do you mean as a sequence is looping?

Seems I fixed it, at least temporarily. I went into my prefs for MIDI solo and Patchthru and changed it from "use core MIDI patch thru" to Sync recorded MIDI to Patch Thru. It stopped the late start on the xv3080. Then I went back and changed it BACK to how it was to see if the problem came back and for some reason it didn't. Who knows why this is!?
