Hello:
New to this forum. I just switched over to DP (from Cuebase, though I have been dabbling in DP for a while). I am specifically using the DP4.61/Scarbee VCK setup in a "live" rig setting. I am also using Scarbee's VKFX (very cool).
The way I get DP to work best is to create a separate instrument track for each patch I want to use in the VKC. This allows me to have a separate insert (VKFX) for each patch and simply switch channels on my MIDI controller to go to a new patch and its assigned FX (my ultimate goal for live playing). I run DP in multi-record mode and assign each patch to a different MIDI channel. However, this opens a new instance of Halion Player for each instrument track (with one patch loaded in each player). DP can get a little squirrly this way. Is there a more efficient way (using one Halion Player, assigning an insert on each patch in DP, etc.)?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Use ReWire
You can get VKC into DP via ReWire instead. Then you need only one instance and can route the 16 VKC ReWire outputs to Aux Tracks in DP. Mr. Scarbee, hiself, suggested that this is the best approach. I just got VKC myself and I'm blown away by it.
