TruePianos v1.4.0 released

Hi,

There is no news item on the website yet but TruePianos v1.4.0 is now available for download for customers. The trial version has been updated with reverb functionality.

For a quick impression on the new Amber module listen to:
http://truepianos.yohng.com/Finley_Rhapsody.mp3

For an impression of extreme usage of the quite decent in-engine reverb using an updated version of the Sapphire module listen to:
http://truepianos.yohng.com/Reflekshun_Inside.mp3

For a general impression visit: http://truepianos.com/demos.php which has quite a decent collection of music demonstrating TruePianos as solo instrument as well as in a mix.

Enough for the shameless plugging for now.

Should there be any problems please report them to support@truepianos.com and we'll see how we can be of help.

Do you have this working in DP6 yet? I just installed it and can't find TP in the instrument list. I'm going to delete the AU cache and hope that does it. DP6 did not inspect it upon launch after I installed the newer version.

Hi James,

If you think there is a problem with DP6 contact support. Our main Mac guy will be leaving for a vacation in 2 days and will be unreachable for probably at least a few days since my own Mac knowledge is probably 'questionable'. If however the previous version of TP worked in DP6 this version should do so as well.

Bkshepard's profile shows that he's using DP6 and it seems to be working for him. Things are coming along quite swimmingly for me in DP5.13.

Hi Roel! For some reason I'm having difficulty. I just deleted "Audio Unit Info Cache" file to force rescan of all AU plugs and the new version of TruePianos was never scanned. It is indeed in the Components folder with the other AU plugs, but it is not appearing in DP6's list of plug ins.

I am going to downgrade and see if that works. I have 1.01 on my local drive. Don't know if I can get the version just prior to 1.04 from your site. I understand this "should" be working, but it is not and I don't know why. I will try reinstalling and rebuilding permissions.

Again, any other users of with DP6 and Leopard who are using 1.04 successfully?

I should have back up TruePianos 1.02. Looks like I can't get it from the site any more? I can't find the 1.02 installer on my local drive. :(

Yeah... I don't know why I'm not having any luck with this, but I've lost my previous 1.02 version and only have 1.01 installer.

James, if you'd like, I can send you 1.02 because I still have it. I'm not sure if I'd have to FTP it or what... I know it's too much to email from my lame ISP.

James,

The fastest would be contacting our support mailbox since I have near zero knowledge about music programs on Mac OS X myself (I'm a Windows guy as you know).

Previous versions of the engine have been removed from the server as the new modules are no longer compatible with older engine versions.

I'll ask Martin this have a look at this thread but probably faster would be to contact our support mailbox to see if this issue can be solved before he leaves for his vacation. For now I'm not yet expecting a bug/compatibility issue in TP yet though.

Hi Roel... I know you're not expecting a compatibility issue, but I can tell you from where I'm sitting, I'm running DP6 on OS 10.5.4 Leopard and I've installed the new version-- it killed the old one-- and I have no TruePianos. If this isn't a *compatibility* issue, I'm not sure what you'd call it.

I'll wait to see if other DP6 + 10.5.4 users are having difficulties. All I need to do is figure out a way to get back to 1.0.2 where I was before I tried this. My bad for not making sure I kept a copy of the 1.02 installer.
