it just says "coming soon" where the videos are supposed to be
so they are definitely working on it.

Yep. They have said this repeatedly. I’m sure it will happen.

I just hope they get it out sooner rather than later. I also hope they don’t spend a lot of time/effort on the production aspect of it. The video with time links to the topics would be super useful by itself...

Yes agree, I watched a bunch of them and for the most part they could publish as is or close to it, maybe with some time markers.

Matt pointed out that the audio feed that Zoom captures in its recordings is mono, and from my experience with it, it's also not great. He said they were recording the audio separately, and would be syncing it with the video. The other thing I expect some of the people at MOTU might want to do is edit out some of the more off the rails chat and chatter.

We have to have some patience. It's extra work for Matt and others, under difficult circumstances. You'd have to think they are spending a lot of time supporting customers trying to use MOTU products in new ways. They've also launched a series of webinars on Performer Lite. I doubt they're sitting around doing nothing if they could be working on posting the videos.

IMO if I were them I would consolidate the questions and tag them at the end. They can edit out parts like me pointing out a bug in Clips during that webinar, or the lady asking about articulation mappings. It's great to know they acknowledge these things, but it's not important archival wise since an update will fix the bug, and an upgrade could introduce articulation mappings making it irrelevant in coming years.

They could do that editing. They could also re-sync new audio.

Or they could just get the info out there quickly.

Again, and not to over stretch the comparison, the Club Cubase YouTube thingamabobs aren't a terrible model. They are essentially archived, indexed, live demonstration reference material. Nobody is looking at them for their audio quality...they want the info. The format is different inasmuch as the entire "show" is devoted to user questions and Greg answers them then and there. Sort of like the QA Matt does at the end (but it's the whole show).

I'm NOT suggesting Motu move to that sort of format. I like that each episode is focused on a topic with QA (mostly) at the end. What I'm saying is that there really is no need to edit stuff out IF there is a linked time index available. That way, you can either watch the whole thing through, or needle-drop on the bits you want. And it avoids MOTU having to make a lot of time consuming judgement calls. (The woman's question on articulations may not have been important to you, but it is a question others - including me - may have had for a long time for instance.)

I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm just saying they shouldn't over-think it.

I attended the Performer Lite session. It is not clear that those will be continuing for very long. I believe Matt said they will be focused on the basics of getting started with MIDI, audio, and DAWs and cover pretty much the same thing in each session. After a few of those, whatever gets posted will probably cover it.

Disappointing that it’s taking so long for them to be posted. The live presentation is the middle of the night here, so no option to watch then. I don’t want to go over the top, yes it’s something being offered that wasn’t there before and we all survived, but it’s just US-centric. (Don’t get upset Statesiders, we’re used to you having all the good stuff with a few dribs and drabs falling Down Under if we’re lucky. In fact, one thing that CV-19 has done is opened up a trove of online materials, seminars, performances etc for which I am truly grateful.) I would LOOOVVE to see the one on adjusting beats, which despite Shoosie’s wonderful tute a while back, still maintains an aura of mystery and confusion for me (much like talking to my wife...).

I emailed and asked if they were going to take so long posting the replays, how about at least trying some alternative times for, you know, their other customers??

There's now 2 months of videos that are "Coming Soon"...wth?

I can confirm it’s the editing that is taking up time, but we should start seeing them in the next few days.

Don’t know why they need editing but I guess since it’s going out on a more public page rather than invite only MOTU would like them to look as slick as possible.

I expect they’d want to edit out some of the stuff that happened on the one I attended, like someone who told others to “turn your f^&@ing mic off”, and other similar comments the MOTU brand manager might not like to rebroadcast.
