Boz really isn't very good about informing users of updates. I just did one of my periodic checks and discovered Big Clipper had been updated from 2.0.9 to 2.1.0. I have no idea what the changes were. Can't find them.

Nor porting everything to AS native versions, either... Frustrating.
Yep... he's been taking his time... focusing his energy it seems on his new piano VI. I did write and ask if NOW he might get on the other plugs that have languished for over 2 years. I received a response that he was going to do that and his piano VI sort of helped with a new framework. Apparently from what I could gather the Stomp, Snaps, and Claps plugs are going to be implemented within one "player" type of plugin I guess. I dunno... but supposedly there's some light at the end of this very, very, very long tunnel when it comes to BOZ.

UAD 11.3 software released plus new plugin

Universal Audio dropped 11.3 version of their UAD-2 DSP plugs... and added a new plugin, the LA-6176. I went to their website to download the UAD-2 plugs since I have a TB3 Satellite. Apparently the native plug distribution is jacked up because of an iLok outtage? I can't even run UA connect... it just gives me the spinning circle thing ad infinitum.

Looks like Groove Agent got an update today. You can run the Steinberg Download Assistant to get it. New version is 5.2.10 which replaces 5.2.0.
The following lists all improvements in Groove Agent (SE) 5.2.10
• Style Editor Fixed possible crash when using Intensity/Complexity in the style editor
• MIDI Editor Fixed broken Load/Save function for user MIDI files
• Mediabay Fixed issue with loading Groove Agent One presets from Cubase factory content. (requires Cubase 13.0.40 or later)
• MIDI Editor Fixed column order in MIDI Editor
• Multi Presets Fixed issue where Multi presets appeared in the Kit presets result list
• Multi Presets Fixed accessibility of the context menu on the top slot loader

I ran the Steinberg Download Assistant this morning and it just worked. In all the years since I bought Dorico 2, this is the first time that ever happened. It updated Groove Agent to 5.2.10 and Dorico to 5.1.40.

Wonders never cease.

I don't have Dorico, but I know the issues with the other Steinberg plugins (Groove Agent, HALion, Padshop) was that there was a problem with MediaBay 1.1.70. I posted about it here: viewtopic.php?t=74170

The old workaround was to uninstall MediaBay and they would work but would limit how you could browse different sound libraries, etc. It was limited I think.

When you ran Steinberg Download Assistant it updated MediaBay to 1.1.80 automatically. It does so without user interaction.

The one thing I can think of is that I did something differently this time: I ran the Download Assistant first. Normally, it tries to open after running another Steinberg app and then the mess happens.

Lesson learned.

Does anyone have a direct link for K 7.10.5? I've been setting up my new system - slowly - and I'm finally able to get my Motu audio driver to work and update all my NI stuff but - ironically - Kontakt. I keep getting install errors only for the Kontakt update. :banghead: NI told me to download K7 directly... and sent me a direct link for the PC version. 24 hours later I'm still waiting...

OK, NI finally sent me the (almost) correct link. They sent me an earlier beta - Kontakt_7_7103-beta70_Mac? Huh? - but I downloaded and installed it and was then able to successfully update K7 through NA to 7.10.5. Not sure why it had to be so convoluted...

If anyone needs a link to the (almost ready for prime time) K7 installer just ask me.

Best,

J

Huh?

Kontakt 7.10.5 shipped a few days ago and is the current version.

For some reason NA would not install that update. It downloaded and then failed every time while installing. NI told me they'd send me a direct download link to the full 7.10.5 installer... and then sent me the Windows version, and then sent me a v. 3 Beta. I gave up and installed their Beta and it finally allowed me to update to 7.10.5 via NA. Should not have been this difficult. No idea why NA originally updated everything (18 files) BUT Kontakt.

All good, my issue is resolved. It doesn't give me much confidence in NI.

James is far more eloquent on that subject if he wishes to weigh in.
