Please MOTU flip the input output selects in the sequence window so it's like the fader IO selects. It's more natural to keep them the same.

I know I already asked for this but a pref to NOT have the sends at unity would be great for this old timer. :banghead:

It would be nice to have faders remember two different volumes depending on whether or not a track is record enabled.

It would be nice if you could shift select multiple tracks in the mixer or se and click and move them all at the same time.

And not to beat a dead horse but :deadhorse: it would be great to be able to create new tracks with aux tracks set to off instead of unity and be able to select multiple aux's and change their assignment all at once.

It would also be great if tracks that were hidden in the se would also hide on the Mackie Control Pro.

+ another one. Thanks for bringing this up and helping to keep it at the fore, so to speak, Gary.

Yes, it has, Frank. But this feature is SO necessary (and basic), that it's Ok to repeat it until MOTU gives it to us!
Agreed, 'Nando. If we're ever going to be able to instantiate/insert/delete plugs, I/O, sends and so on on multiple channels simultaneously we'll need to be able to select 'em first. It has to happen IMHO.

At present Output/Play/XMPT can only be moved as a block.
Same with Input/Mon/Rec.
Cheers, AB
+ an incomprehensible number, Adrian. Great call. I'm amazed I've forgotten to ark up about this for years. There's real estate a plenty in the TO to be recouped here for me.

YES! +100000 too, on BOTH counts!!!

I am so tired of having to manually set every send I open to -∞.
Sometimes I like having the sends set and ready, without actually having them sending anything yet.
I mean, we still have to set the desired send volume anyway, so why are we forced to start from 0? Let us have them at -∞ please!

Oh, wait! You were talking about AUX tracks
Well, +1000 for those too!

I would LOVE it if MOTU would make all the I/O buttons similar as regards their relative positioning. I sometimes have to turn on the little "help tags" just to remember which is which, though all I have to do is remember that the Mixer positions them the natural way, with input on top and output on bottom, as one would expect on a channel strip that runs from top to bottom, while the Sequence Editor is backward. But I shouldn't have to remember that, because it shouldn't BE that way!

As for the sends, it's odd that in all my old files, the unused sends are all at the lowest setting.€̀̀̀̀̀̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃̃ Apparently they used to default to -Infinity. When did MOTU change it to Unity Gain? I know it's been a long time, but it's been confusing to me as to which way is the current default, since I often work in old files. Was it DP6? Well, I know that on a real board it's anathema to leave your sends turned up since you could blow speakers or other gear, but somehow in a virtual environment it doesn't bother me. It saves me extra steps, since I have to turn them up anyway, and when there is no bus assigned they are irrelevant, so I kind of like having them default to Unity. It's convenient. I don't care which way they go, really, as long as they everyone reaches a consensus and can quit worrying about it. Maybe someone could talk MOTU into a preference that sets them either way.

Agreed. A preference to have it either way would make us ALL happy!

I think it's SO COOL how we all care so much for our beloved DAW. All these pages of suggestions are proof we want to see DP get even better and better.
This way, with all these suggestions we could work more efficiently, while MOTU keeps making money and delivering dazzling DP revisions for us to enjoy.
Win-Win 8)

If only MOTU incorporated ALL these suggestions for DP 8... :boohoo:

Hi Forum,

automatical nummering for tracks in the Mixer. example: if I have a guitartrack on position Nr. 9 and I will change it to position Nr. 10 it would be helpful when the Tracknumber changes automaticaly with the position.

another desire. When I change the level from several soundbites and I will know the level from the others before I have changed, I can only see the level from the latest changed soundbite. It would be really helpful when I click on a soundbite to see the exactly level anytime.

My suggestion at this point to MOTU is to please, please keep doing what you're doing and to continue to do it well.

It seems to me that there's been a hike in the number of 'Cornie concerns that've been addressed through incremental updates over the past year or two. Sure, sometimes issues linger for a while, but history has revealed MOTU's steadfast commitment to our beloved DP along with an apparently ever-increasing effort to implement features and tweaks we users want. This is to be celebrated by all and sundry IMHO.

Yes, I know... I appear to still be high on the PV drug dispensed by MOTU this week. I hope it never wears off...

I want to be able to 'snap to beat within soundbite'.
So that you can drag anything (MIDI notes, soundbites, volume etc) in SE and it snaps to the beats within visible soundbites...
And, this I've requested before, be able to edit beats (disable, move add etc) directly in SE and not have to go to Waveform Editor to do that.

Maybe a special Articulation lane for MIDI tracks? Where you can define notes (and ranges of notes) used as articulations and also name them and they're all on the same lane. So then you'd have a scroll down menu where you choose articulation by name instead of just note names that are spread all over and not visually different from actual notes. Makes sense?

Yes on the articulation lane. Cubase has shown the potential, so let's see DP do it properly.

Couldn't this be achieved by creating a tempo map from a soundbite tempo map? (pg. 673)
