Is DP 10.1 the current version you are using? I seem to recall this being a problem with early releases of DP 11 that was fixed in later versions.
I'm using DP version 11.2. But wait! I opened a project in 11.3 and the problem is gone! How about that!
Mac mini 2018 3.2GHz i7; OS X 15.2; 64 GB RAM; DP 11.32; Apollo X6; Kontakt; Omnisphere II; Adagio Everything, Spitfire almost Everything, Berlin Winds and Brass, Xosphere 2, and endless other sample libraries, acoustic and electric guitars, and assorted other essentials that have helped make me the "almost break even guy" my accountant so admires.

Yeah, I remember that bug but it's gone now in DP 11.33.

Indeed. That was fixed in an update, but I'm not quite sure which.

My only report is that I've had two kernel panics while DP was playing, weeks apart in time. Other than these two, I haven't had a kernel panic on my other Macs in years. The Mac reboots itself, and on the last KP, I realized I'd been running about fifteen apps. I may have reached my RAM limit (64 GB). I have no other hypothesis.

I still get crashes on Bounce on an occasional older project with DP plug-ins. So far, sussing the offending plug-in, deleting and reapplyng it has vanquished the crashes. If not, using a third party effect instead also works.
recording: Mac Mini 2018 - 32GB RAM - 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 - two Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 - OS 14.7.2 - DP 11.34
mixing: Mac Mini M4 Pro - 64 GB RAM - Focusrite Scarlett Solo - OS 15.3.2 - DP 11.34
