I know I've said it before, but what's with all the "abandoning DP" hysteria just because 6.01 (that's oh-one, as in, way too young to be useful...) isn't quite right yet...? DP5.0 was a lemon, and so was DP4.0. Logic 8.0 btw was a lemon too, and I'm sure so will be PT8.0. Everyone just breathe, stay with the very mature and reliable DP5.13 and wait for DP6.11. And take it easy with the trashing DP and MOTU, you're scaring away the young'uns.

(Of course those needing DP6 for 23.98 support, I feel your pain... in a pinch, try to do what I do - use QT Pro to convert to 29.97. A bit of a pain for spotting, but with audio remaining unchanged at 48kHz, it converts back to 23.98 perfectly in sync, and definitely works for music purposes, though probably not for sound editing.)

Exactly that-- hysteria.

I gotta calm down. I'm a mess. Oh god, hey - what are these blue pills? And these yellow ones? Woohoo! DP ROCKS!

Ha ha ha! Thank you for sharing the Reaper info, RK.

The best thing about it from a monkey perspective is that the harder it pushes the industry's development envelope, the sooner we'll see some of that funky mojo slipping its way into DP.

Lights! Drama! Betrayal! Rescue! Heroes and Villains! It's all Fantastic! The truth is quite elastic!
The topic extends to the reaches of reality and returning with rue. And we find ourselves doing merely what we do.
We create. We preserve. We display and perform on stage and on disc. For someone to hear. Reputations at risk!
Bemoan the maker! Extol the movers and shakers! Is it good? Is it bad? Is it worthy? Have we been had?
We'll show them! We'll Know them! We'll roll the reel and control what they feel.
We'll try, we'll cry. We'll laugh and pretend we see. But in the end, we'll come back to DP.

The drama! The Lights! The Music! It can make you giddy and full of delight.
and what is wrong is not necessarily right, what right may not always be right.
what is long may be short, what is big may be small, but in the end we come all...

Back home.

Shoosh

In a hurried moment between the movie and bed... and the bed.... and the bed!

I've not yet had the pleasure of coming home to DP as I've never left her. This is just one pleasure I'm going to have to go without, it seems. My loyalty hasn't even allowed me to run another sequencer alongside our beloved.

Those who run multiple DAWs side-by-side ought to consider DP's feelings. I mean, how would you feel if your partner started dividing her time between you and... three others? Like a married Mormon gal, I s'pose. LOL
