MX3 was one of the many plugs Unicorners had trouble with.Teen Oooh wrote:Going to V2 killed a few of my plugins (like MasterX3) , and I couldn't go backwards because Poco flashing was needed to update and downgrading was impossible
Phew! Good news; thanks.Teen Oooh wrote:...but the new drivers finally solved the problem.
I can't see any point, quite frankly.Mr_Clifford wrote:OK I did it......Anyone else game?........ Go on MonkeyMan, you know you want to.
Haven't been able to find the latest TC AU installer. The Ape Man wrote:Just headed over to http://www.tcelectronic.com/Default.asp?Id=1259.
They've taken the TCAU link I was concerned about on page 1 down:
http://www.tcelectronic.com/media/TCAU135.dmg
Hopefully now they can get it right?
The link used to simply access TC AU 1.3.05, even 'though it read "TC AU 1.3.7". Duh.
Any wonder they're under the microscope here?
Hang on; let me see if I can do it... Unga, Bunga... Unga, Bunga...
How was that? lol:
TCAU 1.3.7 is included with the installer for TC 2.0.1.23 (seriously, how many decimal points do you NEED in a software version number?) you can uncheck the 'demo/optional' plug-ins, which is what I did, considering I have PCI mkI and can't run them anyway. I suggest you remove the plugs manually before you run the installer. The last beta version I had to install the demo plugs just to get the normal ones to work, and this intstaller didn't get rid of them. So I've got redundant 'previous' versions of the demo plugs on my system still and have to wade through them in DP to get at the ones I can actually use.monkey man wrote:Haven't been able to find the latest TC AU installer.
It's still not up there.
If it's not included in the installer, we should probably wait.![]()
I won't risk running the demos, 'though.
Haven't seen the installer yet... may have to remove plugs manually...
Wow, thanks Cliffo! I've been watchin' the TC site for nothing.Mr_Clifford wrote:TCAU 1.3.7 is included with the installer for TC 2.0.1.23monkey man wrote:Haven't been able to find the latest TC AU installer.

One of life's great mysteries, I agree.Mr_Clifford wrote:...(seriously, how many decimal points do you NEED in a software version number?)
Yeah, the manual delete thing.Mr_Clifford wrote:...you can uncheck the 'demo/optional' plug-ins, which is what I did, considering I have PCI mkI and can't run them anyway. Hey, maybe the installer doesn't get rid of them 'cause it's looking for redundant plugs, but, as we've noted, they've been the same since time immemorial!Mr_Clifford wrote:So I've got redundant 'previous' versions of the demo plugs on my system still and have to wade through them in DP to get at the ones I can actually use.
Well, the other dayMr_Clifford wrote:Like you said, the plug-ins haven't changed one bit in behaviour or GUI since about version 1.6 so it's debateable whether it's worthwhile 'updating' if your system works.
I didn't even realise I had that need 'till you told me!you wrote:"Anyone else game?........ Go on MonkeyMan, you know you want to."
Hi Monkey Man - I pulled this over from the other thread.I installed 2.0.0.23 last night...
1) Audio recorded but "greyed out" upon stopping transport.
2) MasterX3 (again) plays up. This time it wont even open its window, let-alone pass audio!
3) I followed the procedure you suggested, but there is no option to install your PCIMkII bundle without copping all the demos! I installed the demos, removed them and ran DP.
I realised I should have re-run the TC AU scan app as soon as DP started loading; the AU scanner tested all of them somehow!
I quit DP, re-scanned the plugs and tried again. No go.
I ran the PoCo app and tried various settings. No go.
2 was working for my on my dual g4.jgest wrote:I'm just wondering if it is worth taking the step into powercore driver 2.01.
Most would agree that 1.96 is far more stable than the recent 2.00.
thanks
It's not like they added anything significant to version 2 anyway!emulatorloo wrote:I removed everything and went back to 1.96 for the time being. (couldn't find the old 2 download.)

This happened to me too. Forgot to put that one in my list!emulatorloo wrote:I upgraded to 2.01 and the interface to several of the plugs just disappeared -- that is, a white rectangle where the UI used to be. They seemed to still function, but no way to adjust anything.
Thank you for saving me the trouble, Cliffo. Sorry I had no luck finding the thread myself.Cliffo wrote:Hi Monkey Man - I pulled this over from the other thread.
The previous (shakey, of course) version I was running was the v2.0.b21Cliffo wrote:Have you got the 'non-beta' 2.0.1.23 from the TC site? That's the one that's working for me.
Scan away, dude. The patcher's never caused a problem for me.Cliffo wrote:I'm also still stuck with all my useless DEMO plugs which come up in DP when I go to put a plugin on. I've deleted them from the VST plug-in folder so I suppose I could run the TCAU patcher again, but, well... it's working at the moment and I'm loathe to mess with it.
No worries mate. Throw another prawn (cause we don't actually call them 'shrimp') on the barbie. It's what they used to call me at high school.monkey man wrote:Oh, yeah, I hope you don't mind my taking the liberty with the "Cliffo" thing.
We're Aussies. It's quicker to type.

What, Prawn-Head?Prawn-Head wrote:It's what they used to call me at high school.
"Passed but may degrade prawnformance" in my experience translates to:Prawn-Head wrote:BTW - I trashed the DP AU thingo today and when DP rescanned all the AU plugs, all the PoCo plugs came up with the message "Passed but may degrade performance" - what is that supposed to mean? I checked them and all the plugs work, but now I'm nervous again.
