Is there a way to tab to next soundbite? [in SE or tracks window] I see there is an entry for this in the commands window (called - "next soundbite") but I don't see it working.

Any insight?

Mine:

- 64bit

- Overhaul drum programming. We all know it's a broken mess. Get rid of the need for assigning MIDI bundles, allow for importing Cubase drummaps, or at least create an external converter.

- Add the ability to manipulate Comp marks/takes. I've posted about this before.

- Allow for more organization of IRs in ProVerb

- Remember Window placement for Spaces

Super awesome wish that I know will never happen:
- Add in JavaScript programming for automation, with inter-track communication, AfterEffects style!

ProVerb IR handling, denoiser, EQ match and more "up-to-date" mastering tools.

Increased sensitivity for Dynamics' gate as well as for MW Gate, right down to -130 or whatever the 24bit theoretical max is. One shouldn't have to chop waveforms at -54dB (MW Gate) or -100dB (Dynamics' gate) when employing said plugs as denoisers. Granted, the latter's spec is vastly superior to the MW edition, but I'd like to see both equipped with a range more befitting a DAW.

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to tweak DP for this in theory...

Panning
1. Stereo track panning option to change the position of the left and right signals not their relative levels. (I know I can use the trim plug for this but it seems (.) a-about to me.)

2. +1 Option to have different Panning laws (centre @ -3.5,-6db etc)

Levels
1. When adding a MIDI track/audio/aux it would be great to be able to specify a default level. IE; -10 for audio. Volume 90 for MIDI etc.
2. Ability to feed an aux track back on itself.

Window Resizing
1. I use (command ^) to expand windows a lot.
In the MIDI and sequence editor it would be good if the window expanded up as well as down so the selection stays centered. Currently it just expands downwards, so you have to then scroll back up to see the selection.

I'd like MOTU to include their analysis tools (included with their current hardware) in a future release of DP. I love Inspector XL, but who knows how long it will keep working in DP.

That would be cool. I wonder what's involved as they seem to be designed to work only the DSP in the newer FW interfaces.

Lovin DP.
However (and I've mentioned this to MagicDave but he thinks it's right the way it now is.)
In the Mixer Window, when I click on the Tracks Selector icon at the bottom left, the window expands to the right, to accommodate the new screen real estate being used for the list of tracks. That's good. So I select some additional tracks and their track strips appear. Good. But then after I drag the lower right hand 'resizing rectangle' to the right to increase the width of the window to show the right-most tracks, and then 'unclick' the Tracks Selector icon, the right border of the Mixing Board Window jumps to the LEFT again. So then I have to drag the lower right hand 'resizing rectangle' to the right again, to re-show the right-most tracks. This always seems like extra work-slowdown, which would be eliminated if DP acted a bit more intuitively, and kept the Mixer Window as wide as possible, if there are now tracks that must be scrolled to, to be seen.

Tommy, is it possible to assign a shortcut to show/hide the selector pane? I'd have thought so.

You could make your selection, hit the keys and then drag to the right of the mixer. Failing this, the only logical approach is to click the show/hide button prior to dragging. A drag to remember, if you will. :)

Thanks for that tip, MM; it will save me a few clix & drags. Still wish the whole window just stayed big. Actually you gave me another idea - assign a shortcut to Maximize (the Mixer Window.) hey - thanks! A buncha bananas headin yer way
