Something called "Nylonist" which I'm guessing is some sort of classical guitar instrument for Kontakt. Should have mentioned also that Limerance does require the full version of Kontakt.
Thanks for the 45¢ savings code.

I'm a slut for nylon string VIs. I once owned and played a couple of world class classical guitars.
Haha. Yeah. 45 cents is 45 cents. LOL. I did mess with Nylonist a little bit. I recall there was one funky sample on a “D” I think that didn’t seem to match the timbre of the others. Oh well. Get what you pay for. Limerance is worth it through. Won’t appear in the Libraries window of Kontakt though as NI charges licensing for that. Used to be a way to hack that, but not working anymore.

James, I saw the $5 deal and had to get Limerence. I was intrigued by the company and all the titles they had out.. I had not heard of them before. After the purchase, I was poking through their stuff and saw "Pad Therapy", which I fell in love with. It was like $54 or something. I was about to purchase that, but then I saw a very odd pricing on their "Everything Bundle." Everything they make for $58.80. It includes Pad Therapy and several more excellent titles, 31 of them, I think.

Yeah. They have a sale now on Pad instruments for $22 right now. I have to find the link. Limerance is part of it but there are some others I don’t think I have. Can’t find the link right now.

Here's the link to the sale I mentioned in the previous post. I checked though and I already have three of the four libraries already. The one I don't have is "Viego."

That's probably a pretty good deal. I got one of those deals I know before. It wasn't everything but darn close to it. Although a lot of the Kontakt instruments they have are sort of what I call the "no brainer" things where you hold down on key and sort of premade loops happen and then you hold another key down along with that and it layers something else on it for you. Sometimes these sorts of instruments feel like "cheating" where it feels all pre-made. An analogy I used with a friend is the feeling I get when using some of those things is like throwing a pre-made frozen dinner into a microwave and then calling myself a "chef." Seems like more and more of VIs and Kontakt libraries I see are like that where they have loops or arps built and all the "sound design" is done for you.

Thanks for the heads-up. I bought UJAM's AMBER a few months ago and SILK is going to work nicely for some things I have planned. It's not bad quicker than NI's Foundations - Nylon Guitar though not nearly as versatile (almost accidentally bought Foundations a second time recently when it went on sale)

I just bought VG-SILK also. Don't have much time to mess with it tonight, but for the life of me, have you found a way to get the thing to just play single notes, or is that not it's thing? Is it all about the automatic accompaniment. Just figured I might want to just play single notes and play a particular melody with it. Hmm..... There must be a way!

P.S. Both AMBER and SILK are great little VIs... especially at the sale prices, but I did notice they are not Apple Silicon native yet. I breathlessly await the upgrade fee for the native version!

Traction Memorial Day sale still on.
https://www.tracktion.com
Bioteck and F-Em are $25 a pop

Right now at JRR Shop Traction plug ins are on sale.
https://www.jrrshop.com/tracktion

and with the "group" discount Novum is around $90 for me, so more than 40% off at Tracktion. I'm a frequent user so.. Novum is especially amazing, but F-em and Bioteck are products by a guy who developed for Waldorf (Blofeld etc.) and it shows.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic

Glad you posted that. Do you mean Labor Day? I went to the traktion site but could only find a 40% off coupon code. However the JRR shop sale price is still good.

I was listening to the Biotek preset demo and I’m probably going to get that for sure. I assume it’s AS native.

Audiority PlexiTape on sale $28.99 (EchoPlex emulation)

Post by James Steele »

This is one I can't resist if it sounds anything like the real deal on lead guitar tracks.

https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... itape.html

Looks like it's $39.99 and then use voucher code PLEXI-2899 on checkout.
