Re: DP 11.33 VocAlign Project ARA

I have to tighten 7-12 vocal tracks at a time to a guide track. Will Vocalign do this in DP? Do I have to have the Pro version, or just the Standard?

I got the Pro version, as it handles Pitch as well as timing which is great for stacking vocal doubles. Haven't used as ARA as yet, but have used successfully as a VST3 Plugin in DP.Killahurts wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:28 pm I have to tighten 7-12 vocal tracks at a time to a guide track. Try it and let us know. It might be tedious to export, upload, import one track at a time for processing.cuttime wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 10:26 pm I'm not a user of VocAlign, but I'm interested in feedback on this:

Pardon for interrupting your conversation, but maybe Waves new offering of SyncVX might be of interest.Killahurts wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:28 pm I have to tighten 7-12 vocal tracks at a time to a guide track. Will Vocalign do this in DP? Do I have to have the Pro version, or just the Standard?
The thing that's always sketchy is whether or not DP will support these things via ARA. I think maybe only Melodyne (VST3) currently works? Maybe I'm wrong and I should read the thread? This good news. I've yet to try it, but looks like there is a workable ARA approach to VocAlign.
Yes that's really cool, looks like what I need.. but it's Waves, I haven't trusted them in many years and don't use their products, have they changed? What are they like now? SyncVX does have a legitimate price tag as a stand-alone, non-subscription software (required for me), so maybe it's OK.rnappi wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 4:34 amPardon for interrupting your conversation, but maybe Waves new offering of SyncVX might be of interest.Killahurts wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:28 pm I have to tighten 7-12 vocal tracks at a time to a guide track. I think Waves learned their lesson from the whole WUP debacle years ago. I've had no issues with their plugs or tech support, but with so many other choices, I just don't use them so much. That said, I have no problem if they want to give all their plugs away for $29.95. I'll gladly purchase and tuck them away till my curiosity gets me to try them.
They almost never are.
