I'm seeing them like everybody else. As far as I know, this affects everyone who installed iTunes 11.1.
I'm not having any problems with iTunes, however.
Yes, installing monolingual should reduce the messages to English only, I would think. If I get bored, I might fool with that. I didn't see that option when I trashed it and tried a custom install about a month ago.

I tried trashing iTunes and installing it as English only. If it can be done, I couldn't figure out how.
I am guessing that it would be possible if you installed English only version of the latest OS. I think I last tried that somewhere around 10.6 to save HD space. It created so many problems that finally gave up and let it reinstall as a full version again.

Maybe you can use Pacifist to do it.

I took a look at that, but it looked a little scary. Anything that removes that much stuff from a system install makes me a little queasy. Have you used it successfully?

Yes, I've used it without problems for several OS X versions, usually after a major upgrade. With drives being so large, it's not that much of an issue any more, but when I do a SD backup, the time it takes appears to be partly related to the number of files as well as the total space. There are a zillion language files, 3.7G worth now, and they are all very small.
The one issue that came up with the most recent version: Monolingual removes a file that Flip4mac needs. I had to reinstall it. But now that Microsoft owns Flip4mac, there's not much of a surprise.

iTunes 11.1.2 came out today as did OS 10.9 Mavericks.
I installed 10.9 first, ran Repair Permissions - first time had the pages from before, second time they were all gone.
Than ran iTunes 11.1.2, had a few more permissions to repair, ran again and it's clean.
The version of Flip4mac installed on my computer is not compatible with Mavericks but I haven't checked to see if Microsoft has one that is.

Little Snitch may also need an update.

Little Snitch got an update. Everything seems to be working just fine.
Next: MachFive 3.2 test runs.

X-TremeFX sound bank crashed MachFive 3.2 for me. It was the install from the included DVDs with the 8/2006 create date.
I went on the UVI web site and downloaded the current version with an April 26, 2013 create date. Fixed me right up. No other problems (so far?).
Flip4Mac needs to be version 3.2.0.16 Download it from here:

Does anybody know how to turn off the artwork? Here is a bug. On my intel snow leo search iTunes 11.1/store/Etta James not found. On my G5 Os 10.63 iTunes 9/store/Etta James tons of finds. Perhaps we need to cut our royalties to $0.010 from $0.084 cents per download so they have enough money to fix this.

Not experiencing your bug. iTunes has had two updates since 11.1.
I ran the 11.1.2 update on two other Macs yesterday before I updated them to Maverics. Running Repair Permissions after the iTunes update gives the same pages of unfixed permissions. Running it twice after the OS 10.9 update is what clears the page. Just an FYI.
