Hey Shoosh, your sig says 10.8.6

Did they make another version of Mountain Lion after 10.8.5?

I just updated to 10.9, and I wondered if I missed a ML version?

Carry on..
Sorry for the delay. A winter storm set me back to the 19th century for a few days.

No, you're right. It's supposed to be 10.8.5. I probably hit the wrong key while changing it.

Fixed!

Hey I live where you do.. you must have lost power? We fortunately didn't, but nearly everyone north and south of us did. We've lost some very nice trees :(

Hey I noticed that the new Altiverb browser window was floating on top while I went back and forth to the sequencer! I could use the wiper to set play points, and view/select different Altiverb spaces, etc., without having to use some step to recall the plug to the front. I don't know how it works but I'm impressed.. I assume DP automatically selected the MAS version over the AU, even if I had it in an old document with previous version?

I've been so darned busy for the past couple of weeks that I haven't even installed Altiverb 7.1 yet, and it's been sitting on my desktop the whole time. My busy-ness hasn't abated. I'll be up to my neck in busy or the next week, at least, if not until after the 1st.

But that's cool to hear about Altiverb with floating windows and such. I figured this would be a really good version. Sounds like it is!

The 2.5 day power outage did set me back a lot. The outages were based on the power lines in the alleys. Basically, if your alley had gone feral with trees wildly stretching in every direction, trying to reclaim the yards around them, then chances are the ice brought them down on top of the power lines, shorting the lines out and blowing up the transformers. It was in the 3rd day before we even saw an electric truck. Of course, the ice was so bad that trucks had trouble getting down our streets without hitting parked cars. Oncor was telling the public, via the local newscasts, that Lakewood had no outages. That just wasn't true, and probably was a ploy to keep the house prices inflated. People are not happy to buy these expensive homes and find out that periodically they have to camp out in them for as much as two weeks, sometimes. Most people just leave until the power comes back on. We stay, partly to help the neighbors who cannot leave and cannot cook without power. We take food, coffee, and hot chocolate to those in need. (we've done this so much, we are well equipped for outages)
