I'm experiencing the same problems with my Microbook as Bongaloo. Can't get audio from itunes and it won't work with Logic. It is selected if system prefs. and Audio MIDI Setup in Utilities but it still doesn't work. I'm getting sound into Cuemix but not out of it. Has anyone solved this problem yet?
Thanks Marfin
Hi Marfin,
I've tried two different units , and can't find anything wrong with them. I suspect you have a defective unit. I find the Microbook to be the most stable audio interface I've used- it's really impressive at that. Try this (if you haven't) :

You will need to select it in logic (just like all interfaces). for iTunes use, select in audio/MIDI setup...now go to the bottom of that box and click on the 'star' after the '+' and '-' sign to select ' use this device for sound output'

The way to get the headphones to work is to , believe it or not, go to audio MIDI setup, audio device, wait for it.... CONFIGURE SPEAKERS, uncheck main 1-2, check phones 1-2 and voila. Should play iTunes and DAW audio out of the headphones. NOTHING in Cue Mix refers to this. Absurd.

I've recently updated my mac to the macbook retina display and I'm trying to reinstall the motu microbook to work with abelton live 8.

I've downloaded CUEMIX FX, and all appeared to be going well. I changed the output settings in 'sound' to MOTU microbook.

Then I went into ableton and changed the output preferences there. As soon as I did so, the audio stopped completely out of my monitors. What's more, is when I changed the settings back to a different output in ableton's audio preferences, the audio still doesnt work.

The only way to get audio working again from my mac is to close CUEMIX, unplug the USB and plug it back in.

The same happens if I open CUEMIX now too. I replug in the motu microbook, and it works fine, I open cuemix and it stops working.

Am I missing something? Or is anyone else able to shed some light on my dilemma?

Thanks

Hey guys, with regards to getting audio to work you have to go to applications, utilities and audio MIDI setup on your mac and change the settings there. I resolved the problem of no audio at all, headphones and monitors work fine with any other program on my computer.

The main problem I am facing now is My headphone jack does not have any output in ableton alone, it works everywhere else. My monitors work in ableton but my headphones just do not seem to receive any signal. Why is that? any help would be much appreciated.
