blow it up!
lol... I know you are only joking, but the reason I included that info was that I know that logic also scans the AU plugins and, unlike DP logic actually disabled my stilwell plugs and my Audioease cabinet plugs. It also has Eucon support so I thought it may have awakened some file connection on my system that may have been broken during my SL upgrade...
However this would seem unlikely...

There exists some remnant of that operation -- loading Eucon -- somewhere on your drive. You've got to find that remnant and be rid of it. Have you looked inside the System Folder itself? Have you looked for extensions in the /System/Library/Extensions directory? There's got to be a file you are missing, and you've got to dig deeply to find it. Spotlight won't find it inside the System Folder.
Is there an installation log for that plugin? I'd go find it and search down the files on it, deleting them 1 by 1. If no installer log, then go into the above mentioned directory and search for anything with that name in it. (manually, if you have to) Then go to all the "Application Support" folders -- at /User level and at / level. Same with Audio folders.
This isn't voodoo. There's a file on your disk somewhere that is corrupted or non-compatible. You have to find it and get rid of it. In the event that the loading of that plugin actually corrupted ANOTHER file, then you've no choice but to go back to a recent installation and start again. That would probably be faster than sifting through every audio plugin, driver, file, preference, or resource, looking for the culprit.

This has to be true and is good advise... I don't believe that this is a crash emanating from DP directly, it must be a SL issue and probably Eucon. However this unfortunate thing is that the Eucon software appears to work in SL from my MIO Console and in Logic so I was hoping I could get to the bottom of it for the sake of being able to use it with DP 7 as well...
Two things of note that you may or may not know...
1) You can show system files in spotlight... the trick is to "Show All" files and then click the + button in the finder window and select "other..." where you can enable System File visibility as an option and choose to keep it in the smart search menu... This is very handy and I use it all the time so you may like...
2) You can get a list of all files that will be installed even if there is no receipt by running the installer for the app in question and choosing "Show Files" from the file menu... I just did this for the eucon software installer that I ran because of your recommendation/prompting!
In any case this is my last try before I go back to my cloned volume and redo the SL update so see how that goes and see if I can't get back to DP 7 bliss!! lol
