Sounds very nice. But the meters are odd. At low levels with not much effect, and no audible distortion, the output meter is pinned at +3.
Yep.... I don't know. Don't download then. I just take my time posting these things for the benefit of users. I don't test them all.

Got this email with a link to some freebie loops and SFX... drum hits, etc. Royalty free. Download and check them out... trash them if you don't like 'em. I don't care.

Right. I wasn’t expecting you to answer. It was just there for anyone who might try it and have some thoughts.
Brainworx bx_meter is now FREE

Maybe the best meter out there. I use it on every mix. And now it's FREE.
I’ve had it for quite a while, but as mentioned elsewhere it eats a lot of CPU on my setup. I’ve tried to replace it but can’t find anything I like as much. How heavy is it on your system?

You're right, bx_meter is often near the top of my Effect Performance window, but I’ve never felt like it was noticeably dogging my machine… even on my old (“trashcan”) Mac Pro. On my M2 Mac Studio, I don’t even think about it.
I set up a custom preset on the bx with the meter K-weighted at -14dB and peak meters set to hold so I'm sure to catch any overs. I also run the really nice PSP Triple Meter in RMS mode to watch the averages and have a hardware Dorrough A2 on my outputs for confirmation (and the pretty lights ).

It’s only one instance. I’ll put it back and live with the CPU meters.

As of 4:07pm PDT on 9/4, this was still working. I just checked (already have it though). Found this on another forum.
Just came across a post about this on another forum. It's like a very stripped down Blue Cat PatchWork but it can do a very useful thing, which is let you use a different format plugin than your DAW may support, as well as allow you to build a chain of plugs. Also supports MIDI effect and has some free plugs built in.
